The teaching methods used at L’école de français
At L’école de français, we believe that the best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in it as much as possible. That’s why our classes are conducted entirely in French (as much as possible for the total beginners courses) and our teachers are all native speakers. Since we have a good number of foreigners, French is our common language. If necessary, we can switch to English, but our teachers are not expected to speak Dutch. We believe it is more important to be great educator and teacher than fluent in Dutch. We are all language lovers, so don’t be surprised if you hear them speak Spanish, Dutch, Polish, or Hebrew in addition to English.
Our teaching methods focus on developing communication skills and cultural understanding. We use a variety of activities such as role-play, pair work and group discussions to ensure that our students are exposed to a wide range of language situations. We also offer a variety of multimedia resources, such as online exercises and videos, to give our students additional practice outside the classroom.
Additionally, we believe in giving our students real-world experience to help them learn and practice the language. We have partnerships with local businesses and organisations that allow our students to use their language skills in an everyday setting.
At L’école de français, we strive to create a fun and supportive environment for learning. We want our students to be able to express themselves confidently and effectively in French, no matter what their level may be. Finally, we also provide our students with the opportunity to participate in cultural activities such as museum visits, theatre performances, and language exchanges. These activities give our students a deeper appreciation of the French language and culture.
