Adults courses – summer 2019

Following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, we offer all levels (from A1 to C2) of French group courses and conversation classes.

We work in small groups (4 to 8 people max). It is not a traditional class setting, you will work in duos or trios to practice real-life situations and get the most out of your time. Our courses are being given by native French speakers, where possible in French, from the beginners’ courses onward. This approach enables students to learn the language as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Discuss and debate French and International news, culture and more topics chosen by the learners. The class is lead by a a FLE teacher who is also a journalist. Extend your vocabulary and your grammar with concrete discussions, work on your emerging difficulties.

Do you feel the need to work on your French for use in a professional context? Then this course is made for you: it enables you to improve your linguistic skills and will help you yo communicate better with your clients and/or your French-speaking co-workers.

This course will give you enjoyment reading contemporary works of literature while improving your French. We are offering the study one book over 6 weeks. This summer session will be Un homme ça ne pleure pas by Faïza Guène. The reading will be accompanied by different documents (interviews, comparisons with classical works, graphic novels, film) shedding a different light on the works. The grammar program will be based on fragments of the books. Available from B1 level, we will provide you with all the documentation (including the books themselves) at the first course.

The same programme is followed in standard courses and the French for busy people courses, however, during the standard courses more time is being devoted to group practice.

Price includes textbooks and materials. Each course has an assigned webpage giving you access to a class summary, all resources & homework.

We allow a maximum of 8 people in a group, do not wait to enrol.

At least 4 students need to be registered for a course to be opened.
